Everglades National Park By Joshua Beisner

Location Region - Southeast State Florida Capital Tallahassee Longitude 80.7°N Latitude 26.0°W

Landforms Everglades National Park has a lot of landforms The pine forest is the highest point in the Everglades The saw palmetto is a palm that has sharp thorns that can cut you if you are not careful. Some landforms in the everglades are marshes, swamps, rocklands, grasslands and wet lands

Culture People lived there, explored there, and now visit the Everglades The Tequesta and Caulusa Indians were the first settlers in the Everglades. The Spanish explorers came looking for gold. People now visit Everglades National Park.

Waterways Everglades National Park has marshes and rivers. Saw grass marshes are possible to walk across even in the wet season Florida Bay covers 1/3 rd of the everglades. Water leaving lake Okeechobee in the wet season.

Rocks and Minerals Everglades National Park has a lot of limestone. The pinelands have a hard rocky ground made of of limestone. Limestone is made up of mud, shells, and sand. Limestone is at the bottom of the Everglades River.
