WHAT IS CLINICAL PASTORAL EDUCATION?

Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) has been defined as professional education for Pastoral Ministry.

The emphasis is on learning from the living 'human document',

THE LEARNING PROCESS AND CPE Courses aim at the integration of theory and practice within the personality and spirituality of the person involved in the process.

The CPE learning process teaches: SELF AWARENESS THEOLOGICAL REFLECTION PASTORAL SKILLS PASTORAL IDENTITY.

CPE is carried out in the context of actual ministry to persons, e.g. parishioners, patients, families, etc.

BECOMING AWARE OF THE DYNAMIC IN INTERPERSONAL RELATIONSHIPS
