The Gift of the Nile

 Name: Egypt, which come from the French word Egypte.  Capital: Cairo is the capital and is also the largest city in the middle- east.  Major languages: Modern Standard Arabic is understood by almost every Egyptian.  Location: Egypt is located in the upper part of Africa near Chad, Sudan, and Libya.  Currency: one dollar in the U.S is seven dollars and sixty-three cents.  Population: million people live in Egypt today.  Flag: The flag of Egypt isn’t the first one but, the fifteenth one. There in an eagle which is one Egypt's kings eagle.  Date established: The country was established in 3150B.C. The country was then called Ancient Egypt.  Famous rulers: There were over seven Cleopatra’s. Most of the rules were girls and there was one major king and his name is King Tut.  Major historical events: The seventh Cleopatra killed herself as did her husband.  Clothing: The Egyptian’s wore light clothing made of lax. Which is made of woven plants.  Music: They clap, sing, and play instruments. Music is very important. It is basically a law to not to like music.  Religions: A major part is Islam or Muslim. Five present is christen and five percent is other.  Holidays: Egyptian’s have bank, national, and seasonal holidays.  Food: They hunt and receive meat on special occasions.  Natural Resources: The most common used and found natural resources are petroleum gas, gold, iron ore, and crude oil.  Manufacturing: Egypt is actually really rich in manufacturing. They have food processors, big rice fields, and sugar refines through out the city.  Land Use: Arable land: 2.87%, Permanent crops:.79%, and Other: 96.34%.  Major Occupations: Collage adults under 30 face unemployment and earn up to two dollars a day.  General Weather Conditions: There is a range from 60 to 90 degrees every day. Day hot and night cold.  Average rainfall: In certain parts of Egypt there is 26mm of rainfall every year.  Average Temperature: The temperature is around 89 degrees Fahrenheit.

 The Flag: The eagle; the eagle stands for power and strength. Red; Sands for the struggle between the British. White; the advent of the 1952 Revolution. Black; the end of the oppression between Egypt and British.  Background: The Egyptian's have change their flag over 15 times. A quarter of them where solid colors such as black, white, and green.
