Friedrich Nietzsche “Towards a Genealogy of Morals” & “Thus Spoke Zarathustra” Prepared by: Ashley Hawkins and Clarissa Evans Edited by: Kristen Millen and Donna Gallagher

Background Born October 15, 1844 in Rocken, Prussia. Lutheran Family; Father was a minister, but died when Nietzche was five. Attended Universities of Bonn and Leipzig. At age of 24, he was awarded a professorship at the University of Basel Mental breakdown that he would never recover from. Christianity’s biggest critic. Died in 1990.
