Cedar Creek Site 137 Before June 2010 Flood

Cedar Creek Site 137 Damage Hole at spillway end Approximately 4 inches of top soil removed from top of dam. Water went over top of dam the entire length except for about 100 feet.

Cedar Creek Site 137 Repair Completed Hole repaired Top soil not replaced by exigency dollars.

June 9 and 10, Overnight the area received approximately 15 inches of rain. June 14 – Looked at site. Discovered hole in Dam June 18 – Eric Daniels, EWP Program Manager, Looked at Site 137. Decided that this would be handled as an exigency situation. EWP will provide 75% of the funding to repair site. June 21 – Site 137 was surveyed. District formally requested EWP assistance. June 25 – Contacted by TSSWCB that the District was eligible to receive 95% of the local cost required from the TSSWCB Structural Repair Grant Program. July 9 – Repair work begins July 20 – Repair work completed TIME LINE

Repair Cost - $25, NRCS EWP Funds provided 75% of the total cost to repair - $18, TSSWCB Structural Repair Grant Fund provided 95% of the 25% local cost - $5, Van Zandt County provided the last 5% - $312.00
