5 Key Priorities for FY2014  Recurring Funding for AgWRAP ‒Rulemaking  Funding to support renovation of aging watershed structures (Public Law 566 structures for flood control) – Continue to encourage local sponsors to update Emergency Action Plans – Continue work with DEMLR to provide training to local sponsors and conservation districts on importance of Emergency Action Plans and required data to complete plan Additional funding to assist with stream debris removal resulting from hurricanes and tornadoes Additional funding for CCAP

6 LOCAL SPONSOR MEETING – JULY 2014 PL-566 Program Open discussions on inspections of dams, potential funding for rehabilitation of structures, emergency action plans and general O&M discussions. Ken Ashe with NC Floodplain Mapping Program demonstrated a web based tool for development of web based tool. 37 local, state and federal employees attended from 12 counties.

9 Stream Debris Removal Project Streams/Drainage channels blocked from storm debris from hurricanes, tornadoes & ice storms $850,000 in 2 grants from Division of Water Resources Over $3.75 million requested Redirected $140,000 of other watershed project funds to help meet the need Funds to date awarded to 11 conservation districts, 7 counties, 5 drainage districts, 1 town Over 339 miles of stream affected Now receiving applications for Phase III
