...but the city that brings us together is ? ANGERS !

The French teenagers are in different middle schools and high schools, but they are all connected with the Charlotte Blouin centre. It consists of multiple services...

Reception

Resource, information and documentation centre

Training department : This department offers several training courses linked with deafness (French Sign Language, Cued Speech, training on technical helping devices).

Le Service d’Accompagnement Familial et d’Education Précoce : This department takes care of young deaf / hearing impaired children (from 0 to 3) in their daily environment.

Le Service de Soutien à l’Éducation Familiale et à l’Intégration Scolaire : This service provides support for families and deaf / hearing impaired children or children suffering from dysphasia (from 3 to 20) who study in an ordinary environment.

La Section d’Éducation et d’Enseignement Spécialisé : This department caters for children and teenagers (from 3 to 20) who are severely - impaired and who have to attend specialist classes.

Le service d’accompagnement familial et éducatif : This service takes care of deaf / hearing impaired children or teenagers and their families in their social life.

A medical and paramedical centre : children, teenagers and adults can benefit from this centre (psychologist, hearing aid specialist…). Families can also meet the social worker from the Charlotte Blouin centre.

The Charlotte Blouin centre also provides services for deaf / hearing impaired adults: a service which provides help with communication (from 20 to 65) and a service for the elderly (over 65).
