Zero Tolerance  FACILITY does not tolerate any behavior that makes a resident feel unsafe here  Anyone who reports abuse will be protected  Anyone who is abusive will be held accountable

What is Bullying? a) Repeated and unwanted behavior b) Intended to cause fear or harm c) Directed against someone with less power

Types of Bullying  Physical  Verbal  Relational  Cyber  Sexual  Prejudicial

Pair & Share  Talk about an instance when someone you knew was bullied  Talk about an instance when someone you knew bullied another person

Your Safety is Your Priority  No one deserves to be bullied  You have a right to be respected  It is not your fault if someone else is picking on you  It is important to think about safety  It is important to get help so the bullying will stop

Benefits of Reporting  Protect yourself  Stop it before it gets worse  Prevent the bully from hurting other people  Protect others from getting abused by the bully  Make FACILITY safer

How to Get Help  File a grievance  Tell any staff at the facility  Tell anyone on your authorized phone/mail list  Call or write an [FN: Insert name of outside referral organization here]  [FN: Insert any other ways to get help here ie call hotline or put note in dropbox]

What if I’m Not Ready to Tell…  You can get free emergency medical and mental healthcare, even if you’re not ready to report who committed the bullying against you.
