DFID-GDDS Project of Anglophone Africa2 Where countries stand Scope of data national accounts compilation at milestone 2 (value added by industries and final expenditures on Gross Domestic Product (GDP), either in current or constant prices, and Gross National Income (GNI)) as of 2006  Almost 100 per cent of developed countries,  73 percent of transition economies and  almost 60 per cent of developing countries Conceptual compliance with the 1993 SNA as compared to the 1968 SNA  All developed and transition economies reported to have adopted the 1993 SNA  53 per cent of the developing countries. 60 percent in Africa and Asia 50 per cent in Latin America 11 per cent in Oceania.

Allowing effective allocation of resources across countries and programs for international organizations and bilateral donors Modularization and standardization of strategic plans for statistical development is a key factor in efficient delivery of technical cooperation resources to achieve material improvements in the coverage, periodicity, and timeliness of national accounts DFID Phase II suggests this need not be a drawn-out process
