Brief summary A Rose for Emily" is about Emily’s life. She is born to a proud, aristocratic family. The town had a special relationship with her since she decided to stop paying the taxes in But, the newer generation isn't happy with this, so they visited her and asked her to pay the debt, but she refused to pay them and she said “I have no taxes in Jefferson.” This is after her father’s death. when her father died she denied that at first and she didn’t allow anyone to remove his corpse until she broken down after three days.

 After that she loved her servant Homer Baron,but he is not a marrying man. When Emily knew that,she killed him by a poison. Then she dealt with him as a husband after he died, so she is considered as scandalous person. After many years the town people found Emily died in down stairs bed room and they found the Homer Baron corpse lying in the bed and there is a long grey hair in his pillow.
