27 May 2005 Global Skills Village International cooperation and collaboration in VET The Beginning 1.May Services SETA South Africa and Service Skills Australia held initial meetings 2.November Further meetings were held and extended to New Zealand. 3.Decision to compare through a mapping exercise the units of competency and qualifications of Australia, New Zealand and South Africa. 4.February 2004 – Workshops in South Africa to undertake initial mapping of units of competency in: 1.Hairdressing 2.Beauty Services 3.Funeral Services 5.Additional work continued and a final report was developed.
