Jefferson Davis He was the President of the Confederacy (South). Born: on June 3, Died: December 6, 1889.

Ulysses S. Grant He was the Union Army Commander (North). Born: April 27, Died: July 23, 1885.

Robert E. Lee He served as a Military Advisor for the Confederacy (South). Born: January 19, Died: October 12, 1870.

Abraham Lincoln He was the President of the Union (North). Born: February 12, Died: April 15, 1865.

William Carney He was a African-American soldier in the Union (North) and was the first Africa- American to receive the Medal of Honor. Born: February 29, Died: December 8, 1908.

Philip Bazaar He was Chilean immigrant who went to Massachusets and joined the Union (North) navy and was assigned the steamship Santiago de Cuba. He also earned a Medal of Honor.
