Starting  AM or FM  Talk, Q & A, Variety  Air time, Day of week  Target Audiences – know your stations’ listeners.  Owner, Sales, Program Manager, Engineer  Garden Centers, Landscape Companies, Rental Companies, Farm stores, National companies What are your community radio options? Do they have a gardening show? If they do, what kind? If not, what would you want to offer? Who would you be trying to reach? Why? Who do you talk to at the station? How do you sell the idea? Research value. Plan your show. Who might be a sponsor? Are they already using radio in marketing? If yes, when & why? If not, why not? How many would you need? Local options?
