CRESST Study Simulation Instructions  This activity is designed to simulate participation in a clinical research study and provide data for use in an exercise in the CRESST academy. This and any other forms you complete related to this project are strictly confidential. We ask that you provide a personal code so that your responses will not be linked with your name in any data base. Small Group Activity  Develop 1-2 research questions about adult stress and wellness  Develop hypotheses  Using the excel file analyze the data to test your hypotheses  Graph your results  What are your findings and possible explanations?  What additional or follow-up questions do you have?  What measures would need to be added to the simulation activity to answer these questions? Find some possible measurement tools you could use.

Using Excel to Analyze Data  Mean  Go to the Formulas tab and select Insert Function  Click on the cell where you want to display the mean  Select the AVERAGE function, click OK  Enter the cell range (e.g. A1:J1), click OK  To Watch a video: To Watch a video:  Standard deviation  Go to the Formulas tab and select Insert Function  Click on the cell where you want to display the standard deviation  Select the STDEV function, click OK  Enter the cell range (e.g. A1:J1), click OK  Correlation  Go to the Formulas tab and select Insert Function  Select the CORREL function and enter the cell range of the two data columns or arrays, click OK   Go to the Insert tab and select the scatter plot icon to graph the correlation
