Property owner has requested Orange County BCC for a Brownfield’s designation for the subject property formerly known as the as the Eaglewood Golf Course located generally northwest of the West Oak Ridge Drive & South John Young Parkway intersection. Property’s former use was a golf course and has the potential for arsenic, pesticides and herbicide contamination which has the potential for environmental hazards and other unknown hazards. Required by FS (1) to get public input on size and shape of the proposed Brownfield Area and opt out provision. This meeting is to hold the 2 nd of two required public hearings. Make Brownfield Financial Incentives available Encourage redevelopment and job creation. Purpose

Brownfield Background Brownfield Site means real property, the expansion, redevelopment or reuse of which may be complicated by actual or perceived environmental contamination (3) F.A.C. Brownfield Area means a contiguous area of one or more brownfield sites, some of which may not be contaminated, and which has been designated by a local government by resolution. Such areas may include all or portions of community redevelopment areas, enterprise zones, empowerment zones, other such designated economically deprive communities and areas, and Environmental Protection Agency-designated brownfield pilot projects (4) F.A.C.
