PSYCHOLOGY vs. PSYCHIATRY  Completes the equivalent of 4 years of full-time study and an additional two years (post-graduate study or training)  Completes 6 years of university study and training to gain basic medical qualifications as a doctor  Work a further 12 months intern in a general hospital  Complete at least 1 further year as a Resident Medical Officer  Post-graduate training takes a further 5 years  TOTAL = 13 years study PSYCHOLOGYPSYCHIATRY
