10 Day Business Plan By Cristal Genao & Jazmin De Jesus Nail Polish C & J Couture

Day 1- Draw up a business plan When launching C & J Couture in 2013,the first move for Cristal and Jazmin was to bring their business plan to reality. We started with a $10,000 investment. We invested this money from each of our uncles and aunts. We started off with 25 employees and 3 U.S. franchises.

Day 2- Study the market Entering a business can be very difficult. In order to succeed you must be aware of your surroundings. You have to be aware of who you're competing against and whose businesses are more advanced and by how much. You must know how to target your customers attention and what specific licenses you need. The company Polish & Co. provides us access to create the nail polish colors we want and the shape and size of the nail polish bottle. One important thing to remember while creating a business is to never over plan or over think. People are always going to ask questions, that’s why we have our secretary who is very educated and knows the product as well as we do.

Day 3- Build on your brand In order to ever get people to notice our nail polish, we had to create our brand name. We came across the brand name C & J Nail Polish. We named it C & J in abbreviation of Crystal and Jazmin. It’s important to come up with a brand name and brand logo because thats what grabs the customers attention first. Once you have your logo nailed down then you can continue onto the next step. The next step which includes creating business cards and posters. A good way to get the word out about our new product was to share in throughout social networks. Social Networks such as Instagram, Facebook, twitter, and etc.

Day 4- Incorporate the business The startup part of the business industry dictates who will incorporate trademark ideas and formalize partnership agreements. We got help for this part from an attorney, to help us tackle anything that would come in our way. We did all of work online. We choose online because it is way cheaper. For example we did this entire step online for $350 but if we had done it otherwise it would have costed us $1700.

Day 5- Set Up a lean machine At this moment we still didn't have an office yet. Our workers were working at coffee shop we were working at our houses. One thing we took into consideration was the amount of technology we invested in. Unless your business revolves around technology don't go too overboard on technology. Technology will just make you more and more lazier with your business.

Day 6- Start selling After we open our store we plan to start selling the nail polishes. The nail polishes will be $6 per bottle. There will be many different colors for every type of personality. We will like for our store be be set up almost like a nail salon and make people feel like they are at home. For every five nail polish bottles you but you will get a free manicure.

Day 7- Work the media We are planning to put up pictures of our brand on INSTAGRAM, FACEBOOK and on our online website. We will also spread the word by telling our friends to tell their friends.

Day 8- Fake it to make it We will become friends with lots of different people. We will even put aside our differences just so that we can get our business running. I think we will achieve this because we don't have enemies like that, we get along with people pretty good.

Day 9- Work in and on your business At first we plan to be there everyday until our employees get the hang of it. Also until we are up and running for good. After we settle down one of us will come in twice a week to check on things and ask our customers how are they liking it.

Day 10- Throw a party After the store is up and running we will throw a party. There will be champagne and gift bag. We also will like to have fun quizzes about “What nail polish personality are you?!” Something that will entertain them and make them want to come back. Which will be good for our business.
