Due July 27

 Describe three applications of our summer session classes (beginning June 22) to your case study student.

◦ Important mathematical idea ◦ Strategy for teaching it ◦ Specific scaffold (s) for supporting understanding of the math idea ◦ Example of how you would use the scaffold, such as:  Directions you would give the student  Sample poster, graphic, cue cards, altered problem  Supporting questions you would ask

 Explanation of why the strategy and scaffold(s) are relevant to your case study student. Relate to your student’s strengths, challenges and mathematical understanding.

 Clear link between the strategy/scaffold(s) and the student’s strengths, challenges and mathematical understanding  Clarity  Understanding of the purpose of the scaffold(s) selected NOTE: This part of the Case Study project is worth 1/5 of the total project.
