Role Assignments and Grading Cooking Labs

Lab Role Assignments Each Lab will have 4 people in a kitchen Chef Assistant Chef Dish Washer Dish Dryer Everyone will have the opportunity to do each role at least once

Chef Read Recipe Turn stove and oven on and set correct temperature Prepare Food Turn stove and oven off at the conclusion of cooking. Wipe Stove and microwave clean.

Assistant Chef Read Recipe Gather and measure ingredients Help Chef Prepare Food Set oven timer. Wipe kitchen countertops clean.

Dish Washer Read Recipe Set up Sink. Wash all dishes during and following the lab. Clean and dry sink area, inside and out. Fill dish soap container, if needed. Return all sink items to lower cabinet.

Dish Dryer Read Recipe. Gather table supplies. Dry clean dishes and put them away. Put used towels in the laundry and get clean towels for the drawer. Wipe appliances clean and put them away.
