The implementation of the TS will be carried out at 4 sites, respectively: - Italy – Site with no QMS - Italy – Site with an IMS (ISO 9001, EMAS, ISO 14001) - Norway – Site with ISO Germany – Site with an IMS (RAL, ISO 9001, EFB) Visits and meetings to the sites took place in 2006 Quovadis Consortium Meeting Ispra JRC December 2006

WP 2 An holistic approach towards quality management and classification  Task 2.4 Implementation and validation of the TS on QM ON GOING (MONTH 33) ON GOING (MONTH 33) The following key points emerged so far: - The definition of the customer - The input material control - Sampling and testing - The actions on non conformity - Other aspects of the 2 TS: definition of QMS and basic characteristics Quovadis Consortium Meeting Ispra JRC December 2006

Costs The exercise consists in carrying out a CBA comparing the tangible and costs and the intangible benefits in particular the methodology consists in: - Estimating costs - Estimating benefits (intangible) using a subjective qualitative rating system (stakeholders, authorities) - Evaluations : compare tangible costs and intangible benefits The costs on host sites collected so far are being analysed and will be reviewed (the real costs will be compared to the costs in ranking). The costs already collected cannot be perfectly compared at the moment as the data need to be verified and have to be analysed in a more analitical manner.
