The Leader Within Why should people follow you?

The Leader Within --A Latino Leader? --A Leader of the Latino Community? --Both?

The Leader Within Leadership fits your personality and values…does it?...how do you know?

The Leader Within Leadership is a state of mind, not just doing,… your outlook, orientation, character, and inner thoughts and emotions.

CHARACTER “...the character that inspires confidence.” ”Never `for the sake of peace and quite’ deny your own experience and convictions.”

CHARACTER “…you can never separate a leader’s character from his actions.”

CHARACTER “Crisis doesn’t make character, but certainly does reveal it.”

COMPETENCE ”…the person who knows how will always have a job, but the person that knows why will always be the boss.”

COMPETENCE ”The better you are, the greater potential for influence you will have with your people.”

COMPETENCE ”…inspire and motivate people to do the same. …take their organizations to new levels of excellence and influence.”

PASSION ”Experts spend a lot of time trying to figure out what makes people successful. They often look at people’s credentials, intelligence, and other factors. But more than anything else, passion makes the difference.”

PASSION 1.) Passion is the first step to achievement. --“Your desire determines your destiny.” --”The stronger your fire, the greater the desire--and the greater the potential.”

PASSION 2.) Passion increases your willpower. --”It is the fuel for the will.” --”If you want something badly enough, you can find the willpower to achieve it.”

PASSION 3.) Passion changes you. --”In the end, your passion will have more influence than your personality.”

PASSION 4.) Passion makes the impossible possible. --”A leader with great passion and few skills always outperforms a leader with great skills and no passion.”

SERVENTHOOD ”To get ahead, put others first.”

SERVENTHOOD ”True leaders are motivated by a loving concern, rather than a desire for personal glory….”

SERVENTHOOD ”How we treat others is really a reflection of how we think about ourselves.”

SERVENTHOOD ”If you want to lead on the highest level, be willing to serve on the lowest.”

The Leader Within Inherent in the process of leadership is that other people change and grow. Will you? How?

The Leader Within Duality of being and becoming: uncovering [discovering] what’s already there.

Leading --”…becoming a leader takes time.” --”…understanding leadership and actually doing it are two different activities.” --”…develop these traits from the inside out.”

Leading --”If you become the leader you ought to be on the inside, you will be able to become the leader you want to be on the outside.”
