Basic Hygiene Practices for Disease Prevention

How can we prevent the spread of disease? By following good, basic hygiene habits.

BASIC HANDWASHING! Handwashing is the #1 way to prevent the spread of infection. Follow good the correct procedure to wash your hands.

When should you wash your hands??? Before eating After using the restroom After sneezing & blowing your nose After athletic games

Good Health Practices in the School Setting Please read it – it is posted in your homeroom.

Do not share: Food, drinks & silverware Water bottles, cups, cans or bottles of drinks Make-up, lipstick, chapstick or lipgloss Eyedrops or contact solution Towels, toothbrushes, combs or brushes Wash mouthguards well and insert them with CLEAN hands

Remember these: Wash mouthguards well and insert them with clean hands. Avoid spitting & rubbing your eyes or nose with unwashed hands Cover your mouth when sneezing or coughing! Wash your hands after blowing your nose! Keep your fingers out of your nose and mouth! Do not bite fingernails.
