Vote! By: Bianca, Husain, Kevin, and Nick

Introduction One of the voting choices this year is the Republican candidate for president, John McCain, with his running mate Sarah Palin. Health care is the most important issue according to our survey.

One Vote Changing History One vote can change history in many ways. If one person didn’t vote it can tie the race in the election. It is very important to vote because all of the decisions that the president makes will effect everyone. An example of one vote that changed history was the decision that we should have Texas as the 28 th state. There was a tie in the election and one senator changed his vote allowing Texas to become a state.

Health Care is an Important Issue Health care is a very important issue. About 55 million Americans, including kids, don’t have health insurance to pay for doctor visits or medicine. John McCain will give tax credits to help them buy health insurance. He is going to lower the cost of insurance by making insurance companies competitive.

How to Register You can register from home by sending in your registration form or you can register online by ing it. You have to have your form ready 25 days before the election or you can’t vote. Another way to register is by leaving home and going to a polling place. You have to be 18 years of age to register and you also have to be a citizen of the U.S. in order to vote.
