MAGNET TUTORIAL MEET SCIENCE IPAD APP

MEET SCIENCE: MAGNETISM AND ELECTRICTY On your Ipad go to the Meet Science App

HOME PAGE On the Home page touch on the Glossary tab.

GLOSSARY Go to the red “Aha” tab on the left of the screen. Choose the second story called, There’s a Magnet Inside! Swipe your finger across the screen left to write to turn the pages and read the 5 page story. Make sure you read each page in order.

BACK TO HOME TAB Touch the House symbol on the top left corner of the screen. Touch the yellow Learn tab.

LEARN TAB On the “Learn” tab choose the Push and Pull icon. Swipe the arrow keys left to right as you listen to the video. Make sure the sound is on! Take the quiz at the end of the video. There are three questions.

TIME FOR EXPERIMENT Touch on the Let’s Find North using a Needle video. Watch the video. On the materials page. Touch the screen and hit the pause button in the top right hand corner. This will stop the video while you gather the materials need for the experiment. Once materials are gathered, tap the screen and hit the play button in the top right corner. Continue watching the video and follow the text directions to complete your own experiment. You may pause the screen after every direction as needed.

QUESTION ABOUT EXPERIMENT When the video stops and asks a question, discuss your answer with your partner. Click the screen to continue. When the video ends touch “See Summary” tab.

RESULTS SUMMARY Read the Summary Notes and copy the Result Summary into your Science notebook/journal with today’s date.

SOPHIA MAGNET QUIZ Afterward go back to this tutorial and take the 5 question quiz to complete the lesson.

CONGRATULATIONS You have now successfully completed the Push and Pull module.
