THE VIKINGS By Lauren Hussey

Viking Women Vikings used wool for clothes more than anything else. Vikings brought sheep to the island for food and wool. The clothes where made by the women and they dyed their clothes with vegetable dye.

Viking Men Viking men wore a long woollen shirt and long trousers. Viking men wore long coats and leather shoes.

Viking Children Viking children usually took their mother or fathers name. Viking children did not go to school instead they helped their parents at work. By the time they were 15 they were adults and the girls father choose her husband.

Viking Boats The Vikings weren’t the first to build boats but they built the best of their time. The long ships were one of the most popular ships built by the Vikings.
