Key Big Data Challenges Understanding and Utilizing Big Data New, Complex, and Continuously Emerging Technologies Cloud Based Solutions Privacy, Security, and Regulatory Considerations Archiving and Disposal of Big Data The Need for IT, Data Analyst, and Management Resources Real time is a real problem What is it?

The Advantage of Big Data Helps for different firms like : Marketing & Retail - Finance & Banking - Governments improve decision-making minimize risks Big Data can unlock significant value by making information transparent Competitors advantage

Is it really for us? Does my company have the need? Do we really have Big Data? Do we have the resources to do Big Data projects? What will they cost? One can endlessly question the benefits vs. the risks. The more questions you have, the riskier the project will seem. - The Disadvantage of Big Data frequently allows decision makers to slip into a wait-and-see mind set. Customer data. Structured and unstructured data. The concerns about the personal privacy Security issues Big Data Technologies is not perfectly accurate

Why Most Big Data Projects Fail Lack of alignment. Business and IT groups are not aligned on the business problem they need to solve but instead are tackling it from a technology perspective. Lack of true commitment from business stakeholders also makes alignment harder to achieve. Lack of access. Access to data often is restrictive, and team members don’t have access to the data sets they need to find answers that will make the project successful. Lack of knowledge. Many of the technologies, approaches and disciplines around big data are new, so people lack the knowledge about how to actually work with the data and accomplish a business result.
