1. The good news is this: Christians have eternal life.

Romans 10:9 That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

2. The bad news is this; we usually don’t act like it.

Most Christians give little thought about or put little effort into planning for eternity.

This in no way means your life is meaningless or insignificant

Matthew 10:28-32 Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell. Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground apart from the will of your Father. And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. So don't be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.

3. Our actions don’t get us into heaven.

4. Having an eternal perspective on life is healthy, real and transformational.

2 Corinthians 5:17 (NIV) Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!

The Challenge: Do the things in life that have eternal consequences and eternal rewards.
