Sch. are live in tuen mun.In the past, Tuen Mun was a garrison of Tang.It started to develop in recent 15 years. As a rapid population growth in Hong Kong, many residential places were needed. Kowloon peninsula and Hong Kong island were high density, not enough places for people to live. So the government started to develop some new districts such as Tuen Mun, Tin Shui Wan etc. To meet the great demand of people lived in these new districts, many social facilities like hospitals, schools, Town hall, law courts…were built. However, these are not enough, people also want to relax themselves in their leisure time, so recreational activities play a important role. It is managed by the Hong Kong Jockey Club, the Tuen Mun Public Riding School is the largest public riding facility in Hong Kong. Covering an area of square metres, the Tuen Mun Golf Centre, which was commissioned on 26 February 1995, is the first public golf driving range in Hong Kong. The major facilities of the Golf Centre include a 2-storey driving range with 91 bays, practice greens and bunker facilities. Other facilities include a booking office, a teaching room, a pro shop, a general restaurant, changing rooms, children's playgrounds and a carpark. Individuals or groups may apply for use of the golf driving facilities during opening hours. The Adventure Park, measuring square metres in size, was open for public use on 1 May The major facilities provided include an 6 meter width and 9 meter height outdoor sport climbing wall with overhang constructed on half of its upper surface; a 14-stations rope course with lower and upper section with highest level of 7 meter from ground; and a children playground. Organizations or individual are welcomed to hire the sport climbing wall and rope course for training purposes. Members of the public can join the sport climbing and rope course activities organized by the Centre monthly.

The Archery Range cum Gateball Court occupies a site of square metres next to the Tuen Mun Public Riding School. It was open for public use on 1 May This dual-purpose facility can serve as an archery range with a shooting distance of 70 metres long or three gateball courts for groups or individual to hire. In addition, the Centre organizes training courses and archery competition regularly for public participation.

The Tuen Mun Park, covering a total area of about 12.5 hectares, is the first major park in the New Territories that provides a wide range of facilities. It consists of 2 phases, Phase I was open to the public on while Phase II was open on The park is situated in the town center of Tuen Mun District and in the vicinity of Tuen Mun Town Hall, Tuen Mun Public Library and the terminal of the West Rail.

From the above questionnaire, we found that most people approve of Tuen Mun ‘s recreational facilities. The following shows some opinion of some people: -Increase more swimming pools,children’s activities, old people recreational place. -The cost of those recreational activities should be lower. etc.
