Ten Things To Say To Our Children From the Scriptures

To our Children 1.“We DO have the right to tell you what to do.”  Philemon 1:8-9; Eph. 6:1-3.

To our Children 2.“Let me (us) have joy from you in the Lord; refresh my (our) hearts in the Lord” (Phile. 1:20).  3 John 1:4; Proverbs 23:24-25.

To our Children 3.“We have confidence in your obedience” (Philemon 1:21), or in some cases, “we are confident of better things concerning you” (Hebrews 6:9).  Gal. 4:19-20.

To our Children 4.“Shall I (we) come to you with a rod, or in love and a spirit of gentleness?” (1 Cor. 4:21).  2 Cor. 10:1-2.

To our Children 5.“We’re doing this for your own good.”  2 Cor. 12:19.
