During World War I, a young man with religious beliefs against fighting is drafted into the army. Two three-year olds fight over the same toy dump truck. Rain decides to sell Garland Farms and join the “real world.” A mother with a smoking addiction tries to quit for her family. A middle school student sees an iPad unattended in the library and thinks about stealing it.

As you read today… Describe an external conflict your protagonist is experiencing using the 5Ws. Focus on PHYSICAL action verbs to determine an internal conflict. Describe an internal conflict your protagonist dealing with using the 5Ws. Focus on MENTAL action verbs to determine an internal conflict.
