IF YOU ARE BEING BULLIED. TELL, TELL, TELL Practice what you want to say Keep a note or diary of what is happening Don't give up Ask your parents to visit the school Talk over what to do with a friend, a teacher, your mum or dad or someone you trust Remember that teachers have to listen carefully when a child tells them about being bullied.

What do I have to do? You must produce an anti-bullying leaflet to be distributed to all children in your school. Make sure you have a good title page, bold lettering, eye-catching effects and lots of good reasons why bullying is bad. Extended task

What do we have to do? In your groups you must produce a script for a play that you will perform for the rest of the class. The play must include a character being bullied and how they resolve the situation.

INTRODUCTION  Present the first two slides of the PowerPoint and read the objective and focus for the lesson  Ask “What do we mean by bullying?” DISCUSSION  Show the next slide containing the question “What is bullying?” and go through the different definitions and discuss  Display slide 4, “If you are being bullied” and discuss the different methods that can be used to prevent bullying TASK  Display last slide and discuss task. There is also an extension piece of work for Year 6 pupils.  Give children two A4 sheets folded in leaflet format and discuss layout of leaflets (lower ability children can have one folded sheet)
