Overview of the CTC The courses will be shared with an external evaluator as they are completed Evaluator will assess the courses individually and as a whole Will use the Quality Matters rubric to guide the evaluation Inclusion of an external evaluation:

Guiding questions What are some of the common challenges for first-time faculty? What strategies help promote student learning? (Think about who you assume are the students.) If we believe in life-long learning for faculty, what is the role of the scholarship of teaching in this process? Is it important to have a credential/professional development to teach at the post-secondary level? How relevant are the content and courses of our college teaching certificate in your contexts? Should colleges and universities begin requiring a credential before faculty can teach?
