NAVAL SEA CADETS CHAIN of COMMAND All personnel must follow the Chain. Failure to follow the Chain, causes the Command to Breakdown –Chaos Everyone Doing what they feel No one in Charge Everyone’s in Charge No Accountability If you don’t follow the Chain why should the Cadets???

Commanding Officer (COTC) 4-8 Responsible for the safety, well being, and efficiency of the command. His power is authoritative and complete.

Executive Officer (XO) 4-10 Usually the next ranking line officer under the Commanding Officer. Responsible for matters relating to personnel, command routine, and good order and discipline.

BATTALION COMMANDER (BATCOM) 4-10 Normally assigned for Recruit Trainings Responsible for matters relating to personnel, command routine, and good order and discipline of the Battalion Cadets, Staff (CCs, ACCs, and Staff Cadets assigned). Reports directly to the COTC

CHIEF MASTER AT ARMS (CMAA) 4-10 Assists the Executive Officer for matters relating to personnel, command routine, and good order and discipline. Makes frequent inspections of division's: Personnel Spaces Equipment Supplies

Operations Officer (OPS) 4-11 Operations Officer (OPS): Supervises the operations department; arranges transportation; coordinates and supervises off-station activities, graduation ceremonies, and arrival/departure of NSCC personnel.

TRAINING OFFICER 4-11 Training Officer: Prepares schedules and coordinates evolutions and exams; ensures appropriate training completion entries are made and in cadet records, prepares graduation certificates and appropriate awards.

ADMINISTRATION OFFICER 4-11 Administrative: Prepares correspondence; performs public affairs duties; and, publishes the Plan of the Day. Verifies cadet records arrival to training site endorses cadet orders; ensures appropriate training completion entries are made in cadet records.

MEDICAL OFFICER 4-11 Medical: Maintains medical records, screens personnel for sick call, treats minor illnesses and injuries if qualified, and insures the proper completion of the NSCADM 022 form (Accident/Injury Report).NSCADM 022 form (Accident/Injury Report)

COMPANY COMMANDERS 4-11 Company Commanders): Supervises assigned recruit companies; monitors attendance at training evolutions; acts as counselor; and, prepares initial evaluations for trainees. The CC’s report to the Battalion Commander.

Responsible to Executive Officer. Carries out command policies. Sees that division tasks are completed in a timely manner. Division Officer (DIVO)
