 Athens is the capital and largest city of Greece. Athens is one of the world's oldest cities and its recorded history spans around 3,400 years. The city is an important political, cultural, economic and transport center of Greece.

History  The name Athens is associated with Goddess Athena. The city was based by local residents Pelasgian. They are part of the Thracian community.
