Working group “CRT” Smelter and CRT recycling

CRT Working Group Umicore –Did not use CRT´s –Aim for precious metals –Even the lead-contain in CRT is to small NA –Capacity of app to tons p. a. in Hamburg and Luenen –Only “compensation” business; no active acquisition in the market –Sand from shooting ranges are more easy to handle –Request “gate fee” for CRT´s Boliden –Could use up to tons p. a. as slag former; as the econimics are to bad for CRT this capacity is more hypothecial –Did not use CRT´s due to economics / cost much higher than other slag former as silicate (1/3 of cost (silicat to CRT)) –Would request gate fee

CRT Working Group Metallo Chemique –Capacity of app tons per month / tons p. a. In Belgium and Spain (this is capacity for “stripped monitor”, just without plastics) –Pure glass capacity without chassis and other precious metals only 450 tons per month tons –For pure glass gate feee is requested Smelter in SK (Kovohuty, presumable part of the Kovod-trust, which is also the mothercompany of Elektro Recycling) –Accept small volumes of CRT (app. 20 tons per month) –only acceptance of CRTs with min 10% copper –Payment to supplying company; depending on the copper price

CRT Working Group Landfilling process (Cochendorf in Baden-Württemberg / South Germany) –Monitor / TV dismantling –Dismantling of all metals part of the CRT-tube Metal frame Shadow mask –Breakdown of the glass parts to a size (“smaller than” a fist) –Washing process (new) –Glass, slag and binder are mixed to “filler” –Status of “R” of the WFD (source is not 100% sure) –Capacity for CRT glass is limited
