Housing and Intergenerational Practice online network Catherine Callens HACT Communications Manager BJF Intergeneration meeting 15 December 2010

HACT’s mission We work with housing providers, so we can improve the wellbeing and living conditions of poor and marginalised people. Our projects deliver lasting change, by harnessing the energy and enthusiasm of local people, housing providers and other organisations.

We achieve this by injecting know-how and resources to community initiatives supporting local people to tackle local social issues sharing experience with the social housing community tackling inequality by helping local people and groups take charge of solutions

About age2age age2age is an initiative of HACT, the housing action charity. It aims to generate confidence and understanding between and across generations by supporting initiatives which bring generations together through intergenerational activities and Homeshare arrangements. One of the key outcomes of age2age is to promote a greater understanding of the role of the housing sector in promoting intergenerational activities. The project also seeks to influence the wider social housing sector to develop sustainable intergenerational approaches in all aspects of its work.

About the H&IP network - HACTnet The Housing and Intergenerational Practice online network is a virtual network on intergenerational practice which has been launched by HACT and The Beth Johnson Foundation (BJF). This joint initiative, provides a new interactive opportunity for social housing organisations and others to promote intergenerational links in social housing.
