6-7 May 2010 …the international context International standards for Energy Accounts still missing… Revision of SEEA –UNSD = coordinator –draft chapters SEEA-Energy Oslo Group (UN) –international harmonisation of Energy Statistics

6-7 May 2010 …recommendations by Reflection Group Policy relevance + value added of Energy Accounts = integration with economic data and modelling Start with physical flow accounts, whilst ensuring compatibility with monetary flow accounts = Physical Supply and Use Tables (PSUTs) Synchronise with London Group and Oslo Group Agree on basic conceptual choices to be taken (e.g. classifications, bridging items, flaring etc.) Develop standard compilation methods (tables)
