Goal 3: Create Revitalized, Healthy and Vibrant Communities. Goal 4: Develop Talented & Innovative People.

HCCOG, Regional “D” Strategic Plan- Emphasized Multiple Areas of Focus Goal 1: HCCOG Must Become More Self-Sufficient (lack of state funding, grant match increases, federal/state funding stream grabs). Goal 2: Evaluate, Maintain, and Enhance Core Services to Members. Goal 3: HCCOG will be a Leader in Actively Promoting Economic Development, Business Retention/Recruitment, Workforce Dev.). Goal 4: Promote Excellence in Communication (Member Governments, COGS, State/Federal Agencies, Regional Partners and Stakeholders). Strong focus on successful evaluation measures related to all four goals.

NCRCOG Strategic Plan-A Focus On Organization-Coordination- Collaboration Goal 1: Align Individual COG Strategic Plans/Expectations within the NCRCOG Strategic Plan. Goal 2: Define Role of the NCRCOG in Light of Internal COG Membership Diversity and NC Regional Political Climates. Goal 3: Set a Standard of Success Benchmark Measurements for all COG’s making up NCRCOG (Indirect Cost Rate Comparisons, Annual Reports, Websites, Communication/Collaboration Plan, Membership/Participation Rates, Financial Assessments). Goal 4: Define and Clarify NCRCOG Administrative Staff Role and Function (Specific Contract Criterion, Annual Work Plan, Administration Plan, Advocacy Plan-State/Federal/Stakeholders). The NCRCOG Strategic Plan has not been finalized to date and is still in the fluid process of completion and adoption by the NCRCOG and “The Forum”.
