Final Exam Project: Introducing Tainan Snacks

1.Please be partner with one of your classmates. 2.A food festival of “Delicious Tainan Snacks” is getting under way~ 3. Students have to introduce famous snacks in the final presentation; therefore, only one snack is being introduced by each of groups.

4.Introducing Tainan snacks is containing the following contents in group oral and written report: a.The English title of Tainan snack (Each group should choose one snack and no repetition to other groups’.) b.The reason of choosing this particular snack (Please don’t say “we don’t have any choice”, “I don’t know” or reasons without elaborating). You can include the reasons as following: - the history background - the reputation - the recommendation from the Internet or friends - individual reaons - and so on (other reasons)

d. Introducing the ingredients of these Tainan snacks & how those foods are being cooked (or made). (Please see Chapter 11 in Hospitality English as your reference) e. Indicating the features of Tainan snacks. This paragraph should be your reflection after you try the food. You must point out the features based on your individual feeling toward the food. Think about the way that you try to recommend this food to the public. ( Please see Chapter 11 in Hospitality English as your reference ) f. Pointing out the directions from the Grace Inn to the locations where you have your snacks with your partner. (Please see Chapter 2 in Hospitality English as your reference) g. You have to put the images of these snacks in your written report and power point. (Make sure you and your partner have to be in the picture(s) as well.)

5. We invited “O Ge” the speaker to introduce Tainan snacks and its history. Which point in his speech has impressed you and your partner most? Why? (Each group has to be different.) 6. This will be your group presentation of final exam. Your group could present the presentation in two different ways. Oral Presentation: Present your ideas one by one, and be clear. Role Play: For example, be a professional Hotel agent when you introduce Tainan snacks to your guests. 7. Finally, 1) uploading the file (Powerpoint) to the teaching platform as well as 2) sending the file (written report) to the class assistant. Assistant will collect all of the files to the Disc and the seniors will choose several ones to present in the Teaching and Learning Excellence Program.
