System Overview - Hardware AAP Control PC –Runs Windows 7 64-bit –Connects with the instruments in the following way: LAN – This is an IP address Ethernet connection to the HP Procurve Gigabit Switch –Provides common face for the system –Connection to Customer Network without modifying RTD or PCT PC operating system 10

System Overview - Software AAP allows the user to: –Import test templates –Build sequences of tests –Run the test sequences –Modify proxy file COM ports –Modify IOT parameter file –Select PCOM programming –Collect and manage result files (AAP Results) –Create reports 14

System Overview – Software Templates are used to distribute tests Templates are divided into groups of tests or archives. Templates are distributed with the CAT library release. –No templates are included with the AAP installers.

System Overview - Software The CAT software release notes will contain: –A list of tests included in the release. Including the template (or.ini) file for the tests. –Any additional components needed by tests. –Additional tests for engineering purposes. 16

System Overview – Execution Import a Test Template Right-click on at the lower section of the panel. Select Import… 18

System Overview - Execution The User Interface will come up in Editor mode: –Test sequences can be created –Test sequences can be opened, edited and saved –Test templates can be imported. During Sequence Execution: –The execution view will appear, showing the step running and the steps status (Pass/Fail). Prior to executing a test sequence the user can enable tracing and different modes of execution: –Break on first step –Break on Step failure –Break on Sequence Failure –Run only selected steps –Loop on selected steps. 19

System Overview - Results Results Processor GUI –Stand alone application that can be run anytime. –Includes parsing routines to process results data from RTD Results folders on RTD PC. Result directory and files are copied from RTD PC to AAP PC Results can be filtered by test name, test type, UE, UE build, date, Pass/Fail, test package release Includes measurement data and ATMMI proxy logs –Can be opened & viewed anytime. –Dynamically updates the results as the tests are completed. –Provides a link to the detailed RTD test report from the summary view. –Reports can be exported as csv, xml, or html files. These results could be stored on a customer local network drive if required. 24

AAP Detailed Operation – 7. Selecting a UE A pull down list appears when the xml files are stored in the UE folder. Change the COM port to avoid editing the UE proxy file. Click here to have AAP run the PCOMM programmer. The window will close after pressing OK or if the “Time Left” bar runs out. 38

AAP Detailed Operation Results GUI – Settings The results and log files are automatically copied from the RTD PC to the AAP PC form locations specified in these controls. In the configuration shown above, the files from RTD PC in C:\RTDTest and C:\RTD_Results will be copied to C:\RTD_Results in the AAP PC. By clicking on each of the check boxes above, the column with the selected name is displayed or not displayed. ON/OFF. When on, results files from previous test will be copied from the RTD PC to the AAP PC and displayed on the screen. Will store the results shown in the results window in a file c:\Anritsu\AAP Results\TestCases_ _.html and.xml. After the results are saved, the screen is cleared. Will store the results in a comma delimited file. A file dialog window will pop up. Select the file name with the extension “.csv” 54

When Problems Occur If you are having trouble with operating the system –Review the Quick Start Guide and Installation Manuals –Perform Ping connectivity check –Ensure AAP TCP Server is running on RTD PC –Screen saver should be turned off –Ensure RTD and CAT Library installed per the release notes 65

When Problems Occur Review CLI output log Check Results directory to make sure all results were processed If there are many older RTD results when you run AAP the first time, it may take minutes to process results folder Some results are stored in C:\RTD_Results\Filtered Results TestStand output is stored were sequence was saved Make sure Archive is entered into RTD, and all patches applied (jar files in correct place) 66

When Problems Occur Make sure that the Windows Regional and Language options are set to English (United States) Make sure you are logged in as administrator and application is running as administrator Ctrl+Alt+Shift+Insert to change between operator and editor mode in TestStand 67

When Problems Occur If a particular test case is not working as expected –Ensure it is validated, see the release notes –Run the test case from the RTD PC under C:\test directory, just double click the bat file to run –Send the output to a file and file with ATMMI proxy to support engineer –Any other information (proxy file, screen shots, etc.) 68
