EARLY LIFE Holiday was born as Elinore Harris on April 7, 1915.She was raised as a roman catholic. Although her childhood was very difficult.It had turned out to make a good impact on her career.

CAREER During her career, she made 58 albums. Some of her hit songs were The very thought of you,I’ll be seeing you,Strange fruit, God bless the child,and Summertime. She also composed 20 songs.8 out of the 20 were never recorded.

1947 ARESST On May 16, 1947, Holiday was arrested for the possession of narcotics and drugs in her New York apartment. On May 27, 1947, she was in court. She was released early she was released early March 16, 1948 because of good behavior.

DEATH On May 31, 1959, she was taken to Metropolitan Hospital in New York suffering from liver and heart disease. Billie Holiday died in the Metropolitan Hospital, New York, on Friday, July 17, Billie Holiday was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame, which is a special Grammy award established in 1973 to honor recordings that are at least twenty-five years old and that have "qualitative or historical significance."

LIFE LESSONS What I learned from this person is that even if you had a difficult childhood you still can succed.And do something positive in your life. But never take drugs that weren’t legalized.
