IIS Leonardo da Vinci of Florence Green School Project

The project Green School is a way to reduce environmental impacts. Students, teachers and expert technicians will carry out a programme to transform a part of the school in a zero enviromental impact area.

The path to environmental sustainability will concern:  renewable energies,  water conservation and depuration,  building materials  realization of a little green park

The involved school place will be the zone of the technical address “Buildings”

Recovering rain water for bathroom fittings Photovoltaic panels and thermal solar plant Waste recycling Realization of a litthe green park Phitodepuration plant Studies about geothermic heating plants Check of the building materials to reduce thermal dispersions

Now the building is ……. In the future it will be ……

Now the park is ……. In the future it will be ……

Green School project will last three years

Green practices are good educational tools. They can be used as model for classrooms. Students can learn concepts such as energy, recycling and natural sciences by turning off lights, conducting classroom energy audits, saving paper, composting food waste. In future they will be good citizens!
