Presentation transcript:

Scientific Method Learning Goal: We will reflect on observations and inferences. We will be able to connect and compile scientific inquiry notes from “Dust Busting” to create a Power Point.

Observation & Inference Quiz Re-Take 1.Write your name on the quiz. 2.Read all questions & answer choices carefully. 3.Choose the best answer. 4.Bring your quiz to teacher when you finished. 5.Begin Power Point.

Your PowerPoint should have 7 slides: 1.Title and name (Mystery of the Dying Coral) 2.Problem (This should include observation & questions) 3.Research (What did they need to know?) 4.Hypothesis (A tentative explanation for problem) 5.Experiment (What did the scientist do?) 6.Data results (what did they discover?) 7.Conclusion (What were the results? Did the data support the hypothesis?) PowerPoint Create a PowerPoint from your notes on the Scientific Method.

Homework Work on your power point presentation. Due Monday Sept. 10 th. Each group will be presenting! Be sure you have followed the grading rubric. Be sure you have included images for each slide. Be sure you have done your best!
