 This project would propose the idea of designing a storage kit that would allow for storing a kayak on the ceiling of a garage or roof. Most current kayak storage devices are designed for placing your kayak on the wall. If the kayak could be nicely stored on a ceiling, then one could walk under it, saving more space. Most likely this project would involve using an inexpensive winch or other such device to easily store the kayak above one’s head.

 Kayaks are often difficult to remove from SUVs or smaller cars due to their weight and awkward shape. This project would propose a system that would ease the removal of one or multiple kayaks from the roof rack of a car. This could also be abridged to include the removal of canoes, bicycles, and other craft with modular equipment.

 Ice creams form an essential part of the desert course throughout the world. Scooping ice cream is a tedious and cumbersome process often resulting in mechanical failure of the scoop at the weak spots. It is popular everywhere and is consumed by people of different ages. The scope of this project is to envision a new type of ice cream scoop that increases the efficiency of scooping of each serving of ice cream. It reduces the time and force required resulting in increased profits and efficiency. Some of the techniques might involve an ice cream scoop which heats up easing the process of scooping. The project also delves into the mechanical improvements of the scoop in order to make it more resilient.

 Musicians cannot stop performing during a concert in order to turn pages on their music stand. They require a stand partner or a staff member to turn the pages for them. That can be distracting and catastrophic if the page is turned earlier or later than the performer’s preference. The goal is to provide an additional hand that is automated to turn the pages smoothly and quietly at the performer’s signal to allow him/her to continue performing.  

 A general problem associated with traveling luggage is confinement of space. A vacuum bag, on the other hand, is generally known for more efficient utilization of space. In order to solve the problem associated with general traveling luggage, a vacuum bag can be added to the traveling luggage for more efficient use of confined space. Considering portable nature of device, a system will be incorporated to provide necessary means to use the vacuum bag either through 1) batteries or 2) connection to electric outlets. Specific goals of project can be a more efficient use of provided space within traveling luggage through comparing amount of items that can fit within and increase in weight(preferably to fit close to limit of luggage limit for airplane or other traveling methods).

 This project would be similar to the tennis ball thrower that pet owners currently use to pick up and throw tennis balls for dogs. This way, they do not need to hold the slobbery tennis balls. While you are at work and your dog is in the back yard, there is not much for your dog to do and interact with. The goal of this project would be to design a machine to play Frisbee with your dog giving your dog exercise and enjoyment while you are away.

 Batting Cages for use in batting practice in baseball can take up a lot of space. Providing a cage that can collapse in on itself will make it easier to own one in a residential setting. The mesh used for the walls could be unattached from the supports while the supports themselves could unhook from one another and telescope down to a smaller size. All of the separate parts could be bundled for easy storage.

 Baseball tarps are necessary to keep the field dry during a rain delay. However, they are very heavy and messy. Also, loading and unloading the tarps are time consuming and requires a large crew. The goal is to come up with a product that will assist the crew in spreading the tarp over the field quickly as well as rolling it up to stow away after the rain delay is over. 
