Our Context - IMD 2010 Manchester is the 4 th most deprived local authority in England Our catchment has 4 wards in the top 1% of deprivation nationally Collyhurst has the highest level of child poverty in Manchester and 2 nd nationally Harpurhey has the 7th th lowest income levels in England Harpurhey has highest level of unemployment in Manchester and is 42 nd nationally Collyhurst has the highest level of poor health and disability in Manchester and is ranked 5 th nationally. The AAACM rate in Harpurhey is almost twice the England average Life expectancy is 10 years below the national average Collyhurst has the highest ranking in the crime domain in Manchester and is 5 th in England 49% of the working population have no qualifications 43% of children live in workless households 41% of the working population are economically inactive
