…An Alternate Point-of-View

Create a collage that represents how the point-of-view would be different if we had a third-person limited narrator who focused on Marilyn’s thoughts and feelings. What would she have heard, seen, and experienced? Create a Collage

Determine the author’s use of point-of-view and purpose for the text. Analyze how the author’s structure and style create suspense or mystery. Analyze how the author’s ideas are developed. Standards

Create a visual that represents the mood that is created by the point-of- view of the story as it would have been if we had focused on Marilyn’s thoughts and feelings. Use at least 10 pictures from the internet, magazines, your drawings, etc. to capture the literary elements at work in the story in a collage that uses the entire paper with no white space showing. Find at least five quotes to support the pictures that you have chosen and write them on the back of the paper. Use at least five words or phrases within your collage that re-enforce your portrayal of the story’s mood. Identify at least five literary terms (foreshadowing, mood, tone, symbolism, protagonist, conflict, etc.) that are represented in your collage and explain how they relate to the pictures you have chosen.
