Our focus – To work with employers to enable them to understand, protect and improve the health of their employers, and to enable them to better support those with health problems who have re-entered work, to remain in work.

Our Challenges – Maintaining a healthy workforce with an ageing workforce Responding to the needs of employers Tackling health inequalities Tackling the single biggest reason for sickness absence, that is, mental health issues

T How do we reach employers? Through – Healthy Working Lives Adviceline Face to face contact with Occupational Health, Health and Safety and Health Improvement Advisers

What can we offer employers? General or topic specific information, advice and support on Health Improvement eg, Health Needs Assessments Policies and Statements of Intent Health and Safety eg, risk assessments Occupational Health eg, sickness absence management, health surveillance

Health & Safety Workplace Visits for SMEs Visit to check health and safety issues Produce an action plan and/or Safety Management System Follow up visits to support delivering the plan!

Healthy Working Lives Award Programme A custom designed programme to develop a planned and integrated approach to improve health at work meeting the needs of a workplace with support from the network of expert advisers.
