If an eFiler believes that the security of his or her electronic identity has been compromised or that a threat to the system exists, the eFiler must notify the AOC eFiling website administrator.

Version 1.0 Format and Technical Requirements Electronically filed documents must meet the same requirements of format and page limits as paper documents conventionally filed pursuant to the Kentucky Rules of Civil Procedure and the Local Rules of Court, including page and word limits. In addition to the caption requirements set out in CR 10.01, each document filed electronically must also indicate in the caption that it has been electronically filed.

Version 1.0 Electronic Filing The electronic transmission of a document to the eFiling system in accordance with the procedures specified in these rules, together with the generation and transmission of a Notice of Electronic Filing from the court with a hyperlink to the electronically filed document, constitutes filing of the document for all purposes of the Kentucky Rules of Civil Procedure and the Local Rules of Court.

Version 1.0 Electronic Filing A document filed electronically is deemed filed on the date and time stated on the Notice of Electronic Filing from the court, regardless of when the eFiler actually transmitted the document. Filing a document electronically does not alter the filing deadline for that document. Filing must be completed BEFORE MIDNIGHT, eastern time, in order to be timely filed. However, if time of day is of the essence, the presiding judge may order a document filed by a certain time.
