Deforestation in the Amazon

Forests in the Amazon Basin are cut illegally. This alarmed the authorities in Brazil. For the last seven months in the area were cut 1,700 square kilometers of forest. The area of the Amazon has the powerful equatorial forest on the planet. Cutting it will create the largest environmental problem in the world. Over the past 50 years have lost almost 1 million square kilometers of forest. Trees are up to 60 meters high, and are located on floors

For the last 50 years the Amazon basin has lost almost 1 million square kilometers forests.

Barbaric logging leads to increased global temperature and Amazon currently suffers from a kind of "vicious circle." "The active spread of global warming, the droughts are longer and more frequent forest fires. And the more forests are destroyed more rapidly increasing temperature, decreasing rainfall and more forest fires“.

Amazonian forests will become savanna.

Rainforests are the oldest forests in the world and the ecosystem with the highest biodiversity in the world. It is believed that they are home to about 90% of all living organisms on the planet. No other ecosystem on Earth is not so impressive variety of flora and fauna. Much of the plant and animal species in the area are still unknown to science. Most of them are not found in other ecosystems. This is perhaps the most complex ecosystems as species that inhabit it are related in a very complex cycle of relationships between them, the disruption can have disastrous consequences.

All these animals live in the forests near the Amazon River. When you cut down trees animals will die. Species live in these forest. When we destroy forests, the number of animals decline.

People cut down trees to: produce paper manufactured furniture for warmth... If we are not wasting a lot of paper and throw it away in the right places people transform them and use it again. So trees are cut less.
