Last Year…  Hosted by CCISD’s Ray High School  16 authors, 2 from out of state  attendees  All attendees received a free book at the end of the day  7 panels

Keynote Speaker Victoria Scott The Titans, mechanical horses, appeared in Astrid’s world and things started changing. When Astrid gets a chance to race one, she decides to risk it all Tella Holloway’s brother is sick. The only way she can get the Cure is to become a Contender in The Brimstone Bleed, but can she survive the competition to get it? Dante Walker is a soul collector, a really good one, but can he keep his record when he is charged to collect Charlie Cooper?

Writing Workshop presenters/Panelists  Lori Goldstein  Jen Brooks High school senior Jonathan Aubrey creates worlds at will. When his worlds begin merging, Jonathan must solve the mystery of his own life to save his love from a gruesome fate…. Azra Nadira’s Jinn ancestry means magic has always been inside her. The day she receives the silver bangle that releases her powers and transforms her into a genie. As Azra uncovers the darker world of becoming Jinn, she realizes when genies and wishes are involved, there’s always a trick.

Illustrator’s Workshop  Evan Turk Written by Mahatma Gandhi's grandson, Arun Gandhi, and Bethany Hegedus, this book tells the powerful story of a grandfather's lesson about nonviolence. Evan Turk is an illustrator, animator, and designer working in New York City. He specializes in travel illustration, on- location event reportage, cultural children's books, and concept illustration for video games, animation, and advertising.
